The Day My Cat Saved My Life

SHORT FILM REVIEW

Directed by Kagan Goh

Based on a true-life story of a severe psychotic episode which brings the narrator to the brink of suicide, where he is eventually found and saved by his cat.

The mission behind “The Day My Cat Saved My Life” is truly honorable and it concern to educate people about mental health issues and fight the stigma against the mentally ill.

Written and Directed by Kagan Goh, this experimental short represents a kind of pure liberation by the author, a necessity.

The voice over is a quietly good choice for this kind of short film because keeps the viewer glued to the screen till the very last minute, in a continuous state of mind that goes from confusion to uncertainty. The images are the background.

Kagan Goh’s The Day My Cat Saved My Life have a good writing and a good idea explained in his way, but it technically needs more.

A really good luck to Kagan for his mission!
